The five-day 8th National “Prayas Natya Mela” at Kalidas Rangalaya started on Monday. The program was inaugurated by eminent cine actor Nimki Mukhiya tv serial fame Vijay Kumar,
DGP Gupteshwar Pandey, IPS Alok Raj, NABARD Chief Manager Amitabh Lal, Doordarshan Director Raj Kumar Nahar among the distinguished guests as well as Padma Shri Prof. Shyam Sharma, Hrishikesh Sulabh, Sanjay Upadhyay, Satyendra Singh.
The program started with the Vedic pronunciation of Karma Kadio of ‘Sant Pashupatinath Veda Vidyalaya’.
This was followed by the Nukkad drama ‘नाट्य शिक्षक बहाली ‘ written by artist and director Manish Mahiwal. The Nukkad drama was followed by a magic show. On this occasion Mithilesh Singh, organizer of Natya Mela and general secretary of Prayas Sanstha thanked all the guests. The vote of thanks was given by Banke Bihari Sau. Sunil Sinha conducted the program.
Subsequently, the Mumbai-based institution Manch staged the play ‘Adh-Adhure’. The drama directed by Vijay Kumar and written by Mohan Rakesh was commendable. The play has been written about social discrepancies, in which it is shown that all are half incomplete. It is a story of attachment and tension between men and women. The story shows that Mahendranath and Savitri love each other. After marriage, Savitri feels that she has made the wrong man her husband. Then she comes in contact with Mahendranath, Singhania, Juneja, Jagmohan, they also seem half-finished. The play is a story of a middle-class family, which is stuck in financial straits, discord and relationships. Each character is incomplete in itself, but has an endless search for a perfect partner. The cast includes Vijay Kumar, Ashutosh Khare, Jeba Anjum Kausar, Nandita K. Lion. Vaani Sharma acted.
