
A grand program on the occasion of Teacher’s Day @ PWC

On 5th September 2023, Patna Women’s College organized a grand program on the occasion of Teacher’s
Day. The program began with Gurubandana on the song ‘Jai Ho Guruvar’ followed by a soulful song by
the student sisters on the song ‘O Mere Teacher’. Special gameslike musical chair and riddle etc were also
arranged for the teachers which was the most exciting part of the event. Thereafter, the students enthralled

everyone with self-composed poems based on Science, Arts, Commerce and Vocational streams, soon
after which PWC Choir dedicated a lovely song to the teachers and made everyone dance. This was
followed by a wonderful performance of dance drama by the students, which was a thematic play
depicting the life of teachers from different faculties and the precious relationship between teacher and
students was beautifully showcased . At the end of the program, an energetic council dance taking a tour
of South India and Tollywood, was performed which delighted the audience. Dr. Ameeta Jaiswal, Dean,
Humanities and Social Sciences and Head, Department of Philosophy, addressed the gathering where she
spoke about the importance of the celebration of teacher’s day and acknowlerged the contribution of the
teachers and regarded as gods. Then, the teachers surprised the students with a melodious song sentencing

the message to live life optimistically and imbibe the morals and values within themselves. The event was
compered by Aditi, Anushka and Somya, Patna Women’s college. The entire event was well coordinated
by the Cultural Coordinator Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A. C., Head, Department of History; Ms. Enakshi
Dey Biswas, Coordinator, Performing Arts and Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of
Sociology. The event was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Anjali Rajshree, Joint General
Secretary, Student Council, 2023-24
