
Birth Anniversary of Late Shri Lalit Narayan Mishra and Institute’s golden
50th year of achievement and accomplishment

Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change, Patna commemorated a
grand celebration rejoicing the Birth Anniversary of Late Shri Lalit Narayan Mishra and Institute’s golden
50th year of achievement and accomplishment on 2nd February. The Deputy CM of Bihar Shri Tejashwi
Prasad Yadav garlanded the Statue of Shri Lalit Narayan Mishra in the Institute Premises and then
proceeded to be felicitated by the Registrar with an eloquent bouquet. The director Dr. S. Siddharth, IAS
garlanded and congratulated all on this auspicious occasion.


The programme marked its inauguration with a warm welcome and overview by Dr. Ritu Narayan and
Dr. Preeti Singh. The main event commenced with the National Anthem and lighting of the ceremonial
lamp by the Registrar of the Institute Shri Upendra Kumar (BAS), Dr. S.D. Singh (Dean), Dr. Chandra
Singh, Chief guest Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh (Director, IIM Tiruchirappalli) and other professors.
Institute’s Registrar remembering Late Shri Lalit Narayan Mishra and his invaluable contribution towards
society and encouraged the students to enculcate learnings from his life and contribute towards social
upliftment. Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh (Director IIM Trichipauli), gave an extramural lecture on the ‘Future
of Education’.
A group rendition on Ganesh Vandana was staged prior to the main event. The students enthusiastically
participated in an assortment of events, including singing and a variety of competitions such as a debate
on the matter of ‘Startup is the future of Bihar’, and folk dancing coming from various states. On account
of the Golden Jubilee, a three-day sporting spectacle was also scheduled.
After the event, the winners were felicitated with prizes. The event was concluded with a ‘Vote of thanks’
for every commendable efforts in making the programme successful.
