Concluding day of NSS Special Camp, Patna Women’s College

23rd January 2023, was the last day of NSS Special Camp, Patna Women’s College. 50 students of NSS
have taken part. In the morning there was a Yoga Session in which Ms. Mitu explained about the
importance and application of yoga in everyone’s life. The volunteers practiced and learnt many yoga
aasanas which is very important for being healthy.
After the Yoga Session, there was a “Bib and Tucker Competition” on the theme “Personalities who
shaped our nation”. Miss Divya Gautam, Assistant Professor, Department of Mass Communication and
Miss Fiza Darakshan, Department of Pol. Science were the judges for the event. At the end results were
announced by Dr. Amrita, NSS coordinator, Patna Women’s College.

In the afternoon, there was a “Valedictory Session”. Shri Peeyush Paranjape, Regional Director,Regional
Directorate of National Service Scheme, Govt. of India was the chief guest of the occasion. Shri Sushil
Kumar, IPS, S.P, Economic Offences Unit, Bihar was the special guest of the event. Shri Sushil Kumar and
Shri Peeyush Paranjape addressed the volunteers. Prizes were announced by Dr. Amrita, Assistant
Professor, Department of Physics. Certificate were distributed to the winners and participants of pot
painting, skit, speech, bib and tucker competition. Completion Certificate of “7 days Special Camp” were
also distributed among the volunteers. Program Officer Dr. Shahla Rehana, Associate Professor,
Department of English gave the vote of thanks. At the end of the session, there was a Feedback Session.

The Regional director interacted with the student volunteers and explained about the opportunities and
benefits of NSS. He also encouraged and motivated students to take part in Social service activities
organised under NSS.
