Union of Jesuit Alumni will also be held at Patna alongside the JAAI Milan Patna 2023.National Congress saught old students & administrators of Jesuit Institutions across India coming from all parts of the world and deliberate over the theme “Shaping India’s TECHADE – Challenges & Opportunities”./

  / The Principal of St. Xavier’s High School, Patna Fr. K. P. Dominic, SJ said that Jesuits are involved in multiple activities in their attempts at nation building in India through continuity with past traditions and new initiatives. Jesuit Alumni Associations of India (JAAI) is representing Jesuit Alumni/ae of more than 400 primary, middle schools, and high schools, 50 university colleges, 22 technical institutes, 17 business administration institutes, and 4 Universities run by the Jesuits, belonging to different religious, linguistic, and socioeconomic groups with substantial share in the country’s professional undertaking.  The Secretary of the Federation of Jesuit Alumni Associations of India (JAAI), Shri Neel Mani Rangesh said that this event  deliberated on various facets of the theme with experts of the field available as keynote/resource speakers. Fr. Daniel Raj, SJ – the Rector of St. Xavier’s, Patna, told that JAAI has taken many initiatives in the recent times such as the launch of sports vertical with the First JAAI Inter Zonal Alumni Football tournament held at St. Xavier’s College, Thumba, Kerala. This  also have multiplier effect not only in participating the games, camaraderie’s and networking but also open Jesuit Institutions to leverage through alumni contacts to build up sports infrastructures and introduce sports based educational curriculum. JAAI can forge international Jesuit alumni co-operation in sports like having an international alumni exchange of football teams to start with. Further in consonance to WUJA resolution JAAI has also launched the service vertical on “Social Entrepreneurship”. JAAI is trying to encourage the social entrepreneurship in India but would like to draw guidance from WUJA. The service vertical of industry academia has been tied-up with the I-Hub a start-up arm of Government of Gujarat to encourage students in our Jesuit Educational institutions to have start-ups and internship program. JAAI has been a catalyst for our educational institutions, to sign a few Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with the leading industries associations like Confederation of Indian Industries (CII)- Young Indians (YI)
