On the occasion of World Environment Day, @ Shrikrishna Science Centre, Patna

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Shrikrishna Science
Centre, Patna has organized several educative programme today, 5 th June 2019. The
programme started at 09-00 am with Painting Competition on the topic “Air Pollution”
in which 03 categories are made. First category – Sub Junior group belongs to
Class I to IV, second category – Junior group which comprises of students of Class V
to VII and the third category – Senior Group which comprises of Class VIII to X. In
total 145 students participated in the event. After that a fancy dress competition was
organized on the theme “Environment” in which 22 students participated. There was
also a popular lecture on ‘Air pollution’ which was delivered by Dr. (Prof) Zoyita Das,
Department of Zoology, Patna Women’s College, Patna University, Patna. In her
speech Dr Zoyita Das interacted with the students and highlighted the hazardous
side of Air pollution and explained how a common man can help to prevent air
pollution. The competitions were adjudged by Prof. S.P. Verma, Chairman, Science
for Society Bihar, Shri Satish Ranjan, Education Officer (Retd) SSC Patna, Sr. Saroj,
Asst. Prof. in B.Ed, Patna Women’s College and Shri Ram Swaroop, Curator, SSC
Patna. At the end of the programme certificates of different categories of summer
hobby camp and prizes of Environment Day programme were distributed to the
winner students by Dr. Zoyita Das and Dr. S.P. Verma. A list of winners are attached
