A three-day Orientation Programme for the new Academic Batch of the session 2023-2027,
commenced on 10th July, 2023 in the Mother Veronica Auditorium, Patna Women’s College.
The first day of the orientation programme began with the Bhajan, to embark the new journey
with God’s blessings which was initiated by Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head, department
of History and Cultural Coordinator, Patna Women’s College.
Soon after which, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, encouraged and blessed the students.
She apprised the newcomers about the various rules and regulation of the college and asked
the students to follow the Core Values of the College such as – Faith in God, Honesty and
Morality, Uprightness and Pursuit of Excellence. Along with it, she briefed the students about
the National Education Policy of 2020 and about the CBCS system by UGC. Thereafter, Dr.
Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice-Principal, Patna Women’s College, acquainted the students
with the Vision, Mission and Objectives of the college. Then, Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C.,
Head, Department of History, and Cultural Coordinator, Patna Women’s College elucidated
about the College Profile. Thereafter, Dr. Manjula Sushila, Head, Department of Hindi and
Sports Coordinator, Patna Women’s College along with Ms. Shweta Singh, Sports Teacher,
Patna Women’s College performed a recreational session and made the students perform
Taali-Yoga. Further, Mr. Alok John, Dean, National- International Collaboration and
Consultancy Services, Patna Women’s College educated the students about Human Values
and Professional Ethics. Soon after which, Sister Nelsa A.C., Assistant Professor, Department
of English began the College Anthem, HEY MANAV, and threw light upon the importance
& significance of the anthem which is based on the bookmark of St. Teresa of Avila,
Patroness of Patna Women’s College and how it can drench the thought process of students
with optimism. The entire event was successfully organised by Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C.,
Ms. Samiksha Sinha, and Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, Cultural Coordinators, Patna Women’s
College. The whole programme was moderated by Anjali Rajshree, Jt. General Secretary,
Student Council 2023-24, Patna Women’s College.
