Patna Women’s College celebrated Holi Milan

Patna Women’s College celebrated Holi Milan on 03rd March at 09:30 A.M. in the Sports
Ground of Patna Women’s College. The programme commenced with the lightening of the holika
pyre by the respected Vice- Principal, Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Patna Women’s College. A
total of 10 groups participated in the Holi Milan where they manifested the social issues faced
during holi with their impactful and enthralling dance performance. The participants performed
their dance on songs like ‘Rang-Rang De,’ ‘Murshid khele holi,’ ‘Jahan Jahan Radhe’., which
portrayed themes like eve-teasing, acid attack, women empowerment, inter-religion &
brotherhood.


Showcasing social messages through dance performances was appreciated by the Vice-Principal,
Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., who also encouraged and motivated the students. She appreciated the

students for their hard work and emphasized on imbibing moral values for being the much-
needed change for the society. Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology,

Ms. Taniya Banerjee, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science and Ms. Puja Kumari,
Assistant Professor, Department of B.Com were the respectable judges for the event.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal and Dr.
Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice-Principal, Patna Women’s College. The programme was well
coordinated by the Cultural Coordinators Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head, Department of
History, Ms. Samiksha Sinha, Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology and Ms. Enakshi
Dey Biswas. The programme was compered by Nishtha Vatsa, Vice-Premier and Aaisha Raza,
Cultural Secretary, Patna Women’s College. The winner’s list has been enclosed.
