Patna Women’s College celebrated the 74th Republic Day

Patna Women’s College celebrated the 74th Republic Day programme by Hoisting the
National Flag on 26th January 2023. The tricolors were seen everywhere in the college
premises. The programme commenced with the march past by the group of students. Dr.
Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice- Principal, Patna Women’s College, hoisted the National Flag
which was followed up with the National Anthem. Further, a patriotic song “Desh Hamara”
was presented by a group of students.

Then, the intentions were delivered for the well
being for our “Leaders, Soldiers, Teachers and all our Country Men/Women.” The Republic
Day speech was given Surabhi and Jecinth, Patna Women’s College, in which they honored
the difficulties and sacrifices made by the people who battled for our country’s
independence and sovereignty. The special guest for the programme was Dr. Sister Liceria
A.C., Former Principal, Patna Women’s College.
Principal, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. wished everyone the 74th Republic Day and emphasized
upon the new India where the knowledge is free and the head is held high and said that
“Remember that we need to take the true spirit from our National Tricolor and strive to
achieve our desire of a developed nation through our unity.”
The whole programme was conducted under the guidance of Sister Nelsa A.C., Assistant
Professor, Department of English, and the Cultural Coordinator, Dr. Sister Celine Crasta
A.C., Head, Department of History. Towards the end of the programme, concluding the
celebrations of Republic a patriotic song “Vande Mataram” was played where everyone
waved the National Flag.
