, Patna Women’s College inaugurated their economic forum titled ‘Eco
Spectrum’

The department of Economics, Patna Women’s College inaugurated their economic forum titled ‘Eco
Spectrum’ under the guidance of the Head of Department Dr. Zareen Fatima along with all the
faculties of the department. The event started with the lightning of the lamp followed by an invocation
song which set the tone for the afternoon’s event. The president of the Eco Spectrum, Megha Rani
Bhavya of semester VI then delivered a warm welcome address to the attendees. The event also
featured the unveiling of the logo.
The highlight of the event was the inaugural speech by the Chief Guest, Professor Nalin Bharti, IIT
Patna. He also threw light upon the role of economics in the development of the country and the
career options to be pursued. The gist of his speech was that economics can solve all problems as it is
practical more than theoretical.
The forum has 4 groups – Activity group, Content writing and designing group, Documentation and
Academic peer training group. The event came to an end with the vote of thanks delivered by the vice
president Sakshi Mishra of semester IV. The objective of this forum is to cater as a platform for the
discussion of contemporary and burning issues, organize guest lecture, seminars,
workshops, and quizzes.
