Principal who raped the minor girl student for one month sentenced to death and assistant teacher life imprisonment by the Patna Civil Court

Raj Singhania alias Arvind Kumar, principal of New Central Public School (PhulwariSharif), who raped the girl student for one month in the name of increasing marks, was sentenced to death by the Patna Civil Court on Monday,. The school’s assistant teacher Abhishek was sentenced to life imprisonment after he proved the charge of helping girls reach the principal.  The convict Arvind and Abhishek also made a video of the victim. The video used to threaten to make it viral after telling anyone about the rape. Principal Arvind called the victim to the cabin on the pretext of doing a headwriting check. After this, he was taken to a room adjacent to the cabin, which had a bed. Then raped with the minor for the first time at the tip of the knife. After this, raped the minor 7 times. During the investigation, DNA test of both the convict and the victim was also done. In this case of rape with a minor, a charge sheet was filed under sections 376, 376B, 504, 354T, 120B, 506 of the IPC and 4, 6 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (Poxo) Act 2012. Police recovered a knife, three mobile phones and a register from the school. The IO of this case was Ravi Ranjana Kumari.

31-year-old Arvind belongs to Phulwari’s Sabajpura, while 27-year-old Abhishek belongs to mitramandal colony. It was not known how many girls had met such incidents. But in September 2018, a case of an 11-year-old girl studying in the fifth class was revealed. The civil court, hearing this case, sentenced this heinous case to be considered extremely disgusting and rarest of the rare. 

After getting pregnant, the minor started vomiting at home several times.  The victim told the mother the whole thing. The family then took the minor to the doctor, where she was confirmed pregnant. After this, the victim’s family lodged an FIR at Phulwarisharif police station, then both the accused were arrested.

The minor victim said in her statement that Principal Arvind often tried to touch her incorrectly. Did not tell anyone anything because of fear. One day at the school, the principal had called in the cabin on the pretext of watching headwriting, where assistant teacher Abhishek was already present. Speaking of bringing the register was sent to the room inside the cabin. Then Principal Arvind and Abhishek were raped.
