Some major announcements in Bihar Budget 2023-24


– A provision of 800 crores has been made for self-employment in the year 2023-24.

– Provision of 10 crores for training youth under Bihar Skill Development Mission

– In state engineering colleges, the number of seats in graduation was increased from 8774 to 10965 and in post graduation from 96 to 126.

The number of seats in polytechnic institutes has been increased from 11211 to 12321.

– A provision of 113.60 crore has been made for 2023-2024 for the Samagra Gavya Vikas Yojana.

– ‘Empowering Women – Saksham Mahila’, a component of Seven Determinations-2, has been given priority in the budget of 2023-2024 as continuous women empowerment.

– A provision of 100.43 crore has been made in the year 2023-2024 under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana.

– A provision of 60.20 crore has been made for the civil service incentive amount for the year 2023-24 under the Chief Minister Nari Shakti Yojana.

– A provision of 50 crores has been made for the Chief Minister Girl Cycle Scheme in the year 2023-24.

– A provision of 400.00 crore has been made in 2023-24 for the Girl Child (Intermediate Passed) Promotion Scheme under the Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana.

– A provision of 200.00 crore has been made in the year 2023-24 for the Chief Minister Girl Child (Graduation) Incentive Scheme.

– A provision of 94.50 crore has been made for the Chief Minister Girl Child (Matriculation) Incentive Scheme.

– A provision of 250.00 crore has been made in the year 2023-24 for the Chief Minister Women Entrepreneur Scheme.

– In the year 2023-24, 39 crores will be spent on the strengthening of Madrasas.

Provision has been made to develop 21 Sadar hospitals as model hospitals at a cost of 580.09 crores.

An additional hospital building of 1200 beds is being constructed at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences at a cost of Rs.513 crore.

– A proposal of 5540 crores has been approved to develop PMCH as a world-class hospital.

1754 crore has been approved for 5-5 health sub-centres and 122 community health centers (1379) along with one primary health center each in 243 assembly constituencies of the state.

30.00 crore was approved for 35 fire stations.

– 100.00 crores have been approved for the construction of prison-cum-subsidiary buildings in the year 2023-24 and 30.00 crores have been approved for land acquisition for the construction of new prisons.

– A provision of 70.00 crores has been made in 2023-24 for Kundghat reservoir scheme.

– A provision of 67.91 crore has been made in the year 2023-24 for the North Koel Canal Project.

– A provision of 200.00 crore has been made in the year 2023-24 by the Water Resources Department to irrigate the land.

– Provision of 340.00 crores in the year 2023-24 for the Minor Water Resources Department

– A provision of 525.38 crore has been made in the year 2023-24 for animal and fisheries resource development.

– A provision of 392.00 crore has been made in the year 2023-24 for Solan street lights in the villages.

– A provision of 2374.98 crore has been made in the year 2023-24 for the Mukhyamantri Gram Sampark Yojana.

– A provision of 3500.00 crore has been made for the year 2023-24 under the Chief Minister Rural Road Maintenance Program.

– A provision of 185.00 crore has been made in the year 2023-24 for Gramin Tola Sampark Nischay Yojana.

– 100.00 crore approved in the year 2023-24 for Patna Metro Rail Project

– A provision of 200.00 crores has been made in the year 2023-24 for construction of bypass or flyover in urban areas as per requirement.

– A provision of 300.00 crores has been made for the Energy Department in the year 2023-24.
