On, 2nd February 2023, a long-cherished dream came true. After months of planning, engineering
and hardwork, the newly constructed Auditorium, VERONICA AUDITORIUM of Patna Women’s
College was blessed. Most Reverend Sebastian Kallupura, Archbishop , Patna Archdiocese presided
at the Eucharistic celebration and blessing of Veronica Auditorium.
This momentous occasion was graced by his grace most reverend Sebastian Kallupura, Archbishop ,
Patna Archdiocese, his grace most Reverend William D’Souza S.J. Archbishop emeritus currently
Apostolic Administrator Buxar Diocese who had laid the foundation of the Veronica Auditorium and
sisters of the Apostolic Carmel. Sister Maria Reema A.C., Provincial Superior , Apostolic Carmel,
Northern province, Sister Maria Diksha A.C. ,Provincial superior, Apostolic Carmel, Eastern Province,
Sisters, Priests , Staffs and Students of Patna Women’s College were also present.
The programme commenced with a prayer song led by choir followed by welcome introduction by
Sister M. Stuti A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology.
In his address to the gathering Reverend Sebastian Kallupura, expressed his gratitude to god and
explained the reason behind choosing this date for Blessing the Veronica Auditorium. He explained
today Venerable Sister Mother Veronica, foundress of the Apostolic Carmel whose members runs
the Patna women’s College received Baptism into the catholic Church on this day. Therefore, this day
is special and thus chosen for Blessing of Mother Veronica Auditorium.
Father led the people into prayer and blessed the new auditorium. He also thanked God for giving
this auditorium as a gift to Patna Women’s College.
