On the occasion of World Wetland Day, ECO Task Force and Department of Zoology organized an
Interdepartmental ’Poster Making Competition’ on 01.02.2023. Theme of the competition was
‘Wetland Restoration ‘. It was a group event and each group contained minimum 2 and maximum 4
students. A total of 52 groups of different departments participated in this competition. The
students expressed their concern about Wetland conservation and depicted their ideas for the
restoration of Wetlands. The Wetlands are important ecosystem and contribute to biodiversity,
climate mitigation and ground water recharge. The Judges of the event were Dr. Madhu Rani Sinha
Head, Department of Chemistry. Dr. Pinki Prasad, Head, Department of Botany and Dr. Arti Kumari,
Head, Department of Biotechnology. The competition was conducted under the supervision of Dr.
Shobha Shrivastava, Vice President, ECO Task Force and Head Department of Zoology and Dr. M.
Stuti A.C., Secretary ECO Task Force. All the teachers of Department of Zoology were present
during the event.
