On 21st June 2023, Department of Philosophy, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) organised a Yoga Session to celebrate International Yoga Day at 7:30 a.m. in the Yoga Centre, Patna Women’s College. The session started witha mediation exercise after which Ms. Mitu Kumari, Yoga instructor, Patna Women’s College, performed various yoga asanas such as Tadasana. Katichkrasana, Ardha Chakrasana, Vrikshasana, Trikonasana, Bhujangasana and Shashank Asana along with various Pranayamas like Kapalbhati Pranayama, Nadi Shodhan Pranayama and Bhramari Pranayama . Ms. Mitu discussed about the benefits of yogic lifestyle on the overall health of an individual. The session was concluded with a Meditation exercise. The Students of NSS, Applied Yoga, Stress Management and Staff of Patna Women’s College enthusiastically participated in the session and performed all the demonstrated asanas. The event was successfully organized by Dr. Kumkum Rani, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy and the entire event took place under the guidance of Dr. Sister M. RashmiA.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College.
