A Silent Protest in support of the victim of the recent rape incident in Kolkata and other such hineous crimes

Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University organized a Silent Protest on August
17, 2024 in support of the victim of the recent rape incident in Kolkata and other such hineous
crimes happening in our society. The college students, Principal, Vice-Principal, along with the
teaching and non-teaching staffs, actively participated in this protest. During the protest, all the participants formed a human chain and demanded justice for the victim.

Everyone raised their voice against rape and sexual violence by holding placards in their hands.

This silent protest
gave a strong message to the society that it is important to stand united against such inhuman
acts. This silent protest lasted for about 30 minutes, in which the PWC family expressed it’s
condolences and support to the victim. On this occasion, the college administration reiterated its
commitment to the safety and dignity of women and said that the college community will always
struggle against such incidents. The entire protest was organised and coordinated by the
WePWC Gender Cell, Patna Women’s College.
