Patna, December 21, 2024: Following the directives of Patna District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, the District Inspection Committee conducted a comprehensive review of all child care institutions in the district from December 19 to December 21, 2024. The inspection aimed to ensure the welfare, safety, and holistic development of children residing in these institutions.
The committee visited several facilities, including Arunodaya Specialized Adoption Agency, Srijani Specialized Adoption Agency, Bihta Children’s Home Units 1 and 2, Nishant Girls’ Home Bihta Unit 1, Mokama Girls’ Home, Apna Ghar Children’s Home, Asha Kiran Girls’ Home, and the Observation and Special Home in Gaighat, Patna.
During the inspection, officials emphasized prioritizing children’s health, safety, and overall growth. Superintendents were instructed to maintain all available facilities, address the specific needs of children, and work proactively to ensure their comprehensive development.
Representatives from health, education, police, and other relevant departments participated in the inspection, reflecting an integrated approach to child welfare. The officials reviewed the living conditions, educational opportunities, and healthcare services provided at these institutions, ensuring they adhered to prescribed standards.
Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh reiterated the importance of creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the children. He stressed the need for timely interventions to address any deficiencies and foster an atmosphere conducive to their growth and well-being.
