Patna Women’s College celebrated 77th RepublicDay

Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), Patna University, celebrated the 77th Republic
Day with great patriotic fervour and solemn pride on 26th January 2026, marked by the
graceful unfurling of the national tricolour. The programme commenced with an
impressive march past led by the students of PatnaWomen’sCollege hostel, reflecting
discipline, unity, and national spirit. This was followed by the unfurling of the tricolour by
the Honourable Principal, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., along with Dr. Sister Reema A.C.,
Provincial Superior, APOSTOLIC CARMEL, NORTHERN PROVINCE and Former
Principal, Patna Women’s College.

The atmosphere was further charged with emotion as the campus resonated with a soul
stirring patriotic song, instilling a deep sense of pride among all present. Thereafter, Dr.
Sister M. Rashmi A.C. delivered a heartfelt and inspiring address, paying tribute to the
unparalleled sacrifices of our freedom fighters and reminding everyone of their
responsibility towards the nation.

The celebration reached its emotional crescendo when all present proudly raised the hand
held tricolours, as the air echoed with the powerful beats and chants of “JAI HO!”,
symbolising unity, freedom, and the undying spirit of India
