Patna Women’s College, Autonomous, Patna University celebrated Shravani Mahotsav on
August 03, 2024 in Mother Theodosia Hall. A total of 10 groups participated in the Shravani
Dance Competition where they exhibited the essence of saavan with their impactful and
enthralling dance performance. The theme for this year was “Humari Dharti, Humara Bhavishya”
which was portrayed through their dance. Every group majorly focused on the themes like save
earth, save environment and farmer’s rights. The participants performed their dance on the
songs like “Khetwa mei sohe kisan ho”, “Aare Badra, Kaare Badra”, “Banna re” and many more.
Then Ms. Amrita Prakash, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications
encouraged the participants and explained the major points of judgement in which she talked
about the theme depiction through dance, expression, costume, and coordination of the group.
Towards the end, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College appreciated the
students for their thrilling performance and motivated them. Dr. Manjula Sushila, Head,
Department of Hindi, Ms. Amrita Prakash, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer
Applications, and Dr. Prabhat Jha, Department of English were the respectable jury members
for the event.
The entire event was successfully organised under the guidance of Dr. Sister M.
Rashmi A.C., Principal and Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Vice Principal, Patna Women’s College.
The entire event was well coordinated by the Cultural Coordinators, Dr. Sister Celine Crasta
A.C, Head, Department of History, Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas, Coordinator, Performing Arts, and
Ms. Puja Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, Patna Women’s College. The
programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Sakshi, Jt. General Secretary, Patna
Women’s College. The programme was compered by Srishti Singh, Cultural Secretary and
Khushi, Jt. Environment and Discipline Secretary, Student Council 2024-25, Patna Women’s
College. The winners list has been enclosed.
