Patna Women's College,organized a two-day event titled "COSMOS QUEST-2024

On the occasion of National Space Day, the Department of Physics, Patna Women’s College,
Autonomous, Patna University organized a two-day event titled “COSMOS QUEST-2024”. The
second day began with a pledge conducted by Dr. Riekshika Sanwari, Assistant Professor,
Department of Physics, encouraging students to actively participate in space programs and
contribute to the advancing India’s space initiatives. At 11:00 A.M., a short film-making
competition centered on the vision of ISRO for future advancements, held in the MVEIC Hall,
with students participated enthusiastically. Ten teams, each one comprising of two students,
competed together. The jury, consisting of Mr. Ajay Kumar Jha, Assistant Professor,

Department of Mass Communication and Mrs. Renu Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department
of Computer Applications, judged the entries. Ananya Pandey and Kaushiki Kumari from the
Department of Physics secured the first place, Megha Jha and Shubhangini from the
Department of Zoology came second, and Pragati Kumari and Aayushi Singh from the
Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning took the third place. The Vote of
Thanks was proposed by Dr. Amrita, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics.

Thereafter, the Prize Distribution Ceremony followed at 01:00 P.M. in the MVEIC Hall. The
distinguished guests included Dr. Sister M Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College; Dr.
Ameeta Jaiswal, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Head, Department of Philosophy; Dr. Shobha
Shrivastava, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Head, Department of Zoology; and Dr. Kavita
Verma, Head, Department of Physics. The faculty members from the Department of Physics
and teachers from Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Rajendra Nagar, Patna, Bihar
were also present. The ceremony began with a prayer song, which was followed by an address
by Dr. Kavita Verma, Head, Department of Physics. Soon after this, Dr. Sister M Rashmi A.C.
addressed the gathering. A video showcasing highlights from the event was represented, after
which the winners were awarded their prizes. Towards the end, the Vote of Thanks was
proposed by Dr. Amrita, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics.
