Patna, February 25: With the aim of raising awareness about environmental conservation, an orientation program was organized by “Tarumitra” Patna at Government Women’s College, Gulzarbagh. In this special event, students were provided with detailed information on various aspects of environmental protection and encouraged to stay aware and take action.

During the program, Ms. Devapriya, the young coordinator of “Tarumitra,” interacted with the students and explained how small efforts can contribute significantly to environmental conservation. She highlighted the importance of biodiversity, organic farming, green initiatives, and the use of renewable energy sources. Additionally, she urged everyone to reduce and eventually eliminate the use of plastic.

Message of “Habit Change for Climate Change”

The program emphasized adopting the concept of “Habit Change for Climate Change.” Ms. Devapriya explained that small changes in our daily habits can have a positive impact on the environment. She encouraged students to celebrate eco-friendly festivals and understand their significance in promoting sustainability.

Naming of Eco Club ‘Haritima’

During the event, the Eco Club “Haritima” was officially named at the college. This club will work towards promoting environmental conservation and green initiatives. Through this platform, students will be encouraged to actively participate in various nature conservation campaigns.

Principal’s Green Message

The program began with a green welcome by the Principal of the college, Mrs. Shruti Tetarve, who presented a sapling to Ms. Devapriya. Addressing the students, she emphasized that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility and should be an integral part of our lifestyle.

The event was hosted by Dr. Kumari Nimisha, while Mrs. Anita Minz delivered the vote of thanks. All assistant professors of the college were present on this occasion.
