Bihar Police Showcases ‘Women Power’ Through Videos During Navratri

Patna: Bihar Police has launched a social media campaign during Navratri to showcase the contributions and growing strength of its female officers, the highest among all Indian states. The campaign aims to highlight the achievements and work culture of different units within the police force, portraying a strong and resilient image of law enforcement.

The campaign, #WOSHAKTIHAI, is being run on various social media platforms, where Bihar Police is comparing its ‘women power’ to the nine forms of Goddess Durga. So far, six videos have been released, covering the roles of women in units like the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Traffic Police, Government Railway Police (GRP), Special Task Force (STF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and Emergency Response Support System (ERSS).

The videos showcase how female officers are excelling across these units. Whether it’s ATS officers handling critical security threats, traffic police managing the streets of Patna, or ERSS personnel responding to emergency calls, these women are exemplifying dedication and professionalism. The campaign aims to underline that women in Bihar Police are not just serving but leading in many fields, making public safety their mission.

SP Vishal Sharma from the Bihar Police Headquarters shared the ATS video on his social media, captioning, “They only raise their arms to make their opponent drop theirs. Salute to these brave women, who truly embody ‘Nari Shakti’.” The campaign has been met with widespread praise, with the public lauding Bihar Police’s efforts to honor its female officers during Navratri.

Bihar Police has increasingly used social media to raise awareness about road safety, cybercrime, and public security, and this campaign is part of that broader effort. The public is eagerly awaiting the next videos in the series, which will continue to showcase the powerful women of Bihar Police in their various roles.
