Sadakat Ashram Patna witnessed a dramatic and violent clash between BJP and Congress workers on the morning of August 29, 2025. The event unfolded outside the Congress state office, where BJP activists marched in protest against alleged derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother, made during a Congress rally. What started as a peaceful demonstration quickly escalated, resulting in sticks, stones, and bricks being used, injuries to several party workers, and damage to vehicles and property.
At around 10 AM, BJP workers—led by senior leaders, including women and youth—began their protest march from Kurji Hospital towards the Congress office at Sadakat Ashram Patna. The group’s objective was to denounce the alleged offensive comments about PM Modi’s mother made at a Congress event in Darbhanga. Security forces monitored the tense situation as BJP workers chanted slogans and displayed placards.
Tensions increased once BJP workers reached the Congress office gate. Congress supporters already present responded to the BJP protest, leading to heated exchanges. BJP workers accused Congress of violating political decorum with “unacceptable insults,” while Congress countered with claims of BJP spreading fake propaganda to disrupt peace.
The situation became uncontrollable as BJP protestors broke through the main gate of Sadakat Ashram Patna, leading to direct physical confrontation inside the Congress office. Both sides hurled stones and attacked each other with sticks. Numerous people, including women, were injured. Several parked vehicles at Sadakat Ashram Patna had their windows smashed, and property damage was reported. Bystanders—including local shopkeepers and passersby—were left stunned by the chaos.
Patna Police quickly arrived at Sadakat Ashram to control the clash. Officers used mild force and lathi-charge to disperse the crowd and clear the area. Injured workers from both BJP and Congress were taken to nearby hospitals. Law enforcement cordoned off the office and restored order, confirming the situation was under control.
Police DSP (Law & Order) Krishna Murari Prasad stated that an investigation into stone pelting and property damage at Sadakat Ashram Patna would be carried out, with strict legal action based on complaints.
BJP leaders accused Congress of instigating violence, insisting their protest was peaceful until attacked. They demanded severe action against Congress workers at Sadakat Ashram Patna. Meanwhile, the Congress state leadership denied allegations and accused BJP of deliberately creating unrest, requesting authorities to identify and act against BJP protestors.
Residents of Patna expressed shock over the Sadakat Ashram Patna violence, criticizing political parties for disturbing peace in public spaces. The incident created panic in the area and disrupted local businesses. Police detained both BJP and Congress workers for questioning, registered cases, and increased security presence at Sadakat Ashram Patna throughout the day.
Patna Police began reviewing CCTV footage and statements of the injured to identify perpetrators. Authorities pledged strict legal action against those found guilty. The Sadakat Ashram Patna incident has ignited debates about the direction of Bihar politics, with parties engaged in mutual blame and the public demanding greater accountability and restraint from BJP and Congress
