Patna, February 28, 2025: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar arrived at the Assembly to participate in the proceedings of the budget session. He was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Choudhary, and several other ministers. As CM Nitish Kumar entered the Assembly, many ministers and MLAs welcomed him with bouquets. Speaker of the Assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav, also extended his greetings by presenting a bouquet to the Chief Minister.
It is noteworthy that the budget session in Bihar commenced today and will continue from February 28 to March 27. Over the course of this one-month session, a total of 20 meetings will be held. On March 3, Deputy CM and Finance Minister Samrat Choudhary will present the Bihar Budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 in the Assembly.
This budget session is expected to be a crucial one, as the opposition is gearing up to challenge the government on various issues. The opposition parties have indicated that they will strongly raise concerns regarding economic policies, state development plans, and public welfare schemes.
