Patna, October 22, 2024: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Travel and Tourism Fair-2024 today at the Gyan Bhavan, located within the Samrat Ashok Convention Centre. The event, organized by the Department of Tourism, was marked by the Chief Minister cutting the ribbon to officially open the fair.
Following the inauguration, the Chief Minister toured the various exhibitions displayed at the event, where he received detailed information about the products and services offered by the participants.
Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting him with a memento and an Angavastram (a traditional garment).
Also present at the occasion were Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Uttarakhand’s Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Irrigation Satpal Maharaj, Bihar’s Minister of Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Bihar’s Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra, Secretary of the Tourism Department Lokesh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, the Chief Minister’s Special Officer Gopal Singh, Patna District Magistrate Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra, along with other senior officials and representatives from tourism-related organizations and companies.
The fair highlights the significance of the tourism sector, showcasing the state’s rich cultural and historical heritage, as well as promoting travel-related services and products.
