Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Announces New Services for Bihar, Senior Citizens to Receive Healthcare at Home

Patna. Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar has announced an important initiative aimed at making the lives of citizens more simple, secure, and dignified. The Chief Minister stated that since the formation of the government on November 24, 2005, continuous efforts have been made for the upliftment of all sections of society and balanced development in every sector, guided by the principle of “development with justice.” The government has treated the entire state of Bihar as one family, ensuring due respect and safeguarding the rights of every citizen.

The Chief Minister said that the government has begun working with seriousness to address the difficulties faced by citizens, especially the needy sections, so that they can lead an easy and dignified life. In this context, the “Saat Nischay–3” programmes for the period 2025 to 2030 have been implemented, with the objective of placing Bihar among the most developed states in the country.

He explained that under “Saat Nischay–3,” the seventh resolve, “Sabka Samman – Jeevan Aasan (Ease of Living),” focuses on reducing day-to-day hardships of citizens and making government services more accessible. Under the proposed services, senior citizens will be provided nursing assistance, pathology tests, blood pressure and ECG check-ups, physiotherapy, and all kinds of medical assistance in emergency situations at home. The Chief Minister said that these facilities will not only provide relief to elderly citizens but will also be a major convenience for their families.

He further stated that it is necessary to identify what additional facilities can be provided to make the lives of senior citizens even easier. The government considers public participation in this process to be extremely important. Therefore, the Chief Minister appealed to citizens to share any specific suggestions for senior citizens through the designated channels so that their valuable inputs can be incorporated.

Expressing confidence, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that these new initiatives will ensure a dignified, safe, and comfortable life for senior citizens in Bihar, and that the objective of “Sabka Samman – Jeevan Aasan” will be realized on the ground. He reaffirmed that the government remains committed to the welfare of every section of society and is determined to take Bihar to new heights of development in the coming years.
