Patna, February 26, 2025 – Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today unveiled the official logo and mascot of the upcoming Sepak Takraw World Cup 2025, which is set to be hosted by Bihar for the first time. The event was held at ‘Samvad’ in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, where the unveiling was done using a state-of-the-art 3D hologram projector, a first-of-its-kind event in Bihar.
The logo of the Sepak Takraw World Cup 2025 represents Bihar’s rich cultural heritage, sportsmanship, and energy for the future, while the mascot symbolizes the strength and pride of the state.
Sepak Takraw World Cup 2025: A Historic Event for Bihar
For the first time, Bihar is set to host the prestigious Sepak Takraw World Cup 2025, which will take place from March 20 to March 25, 2025, at the Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna. The tournament will witness participation from over 25 countries, showcasing their strength, skill, and passion for the game. Notably, Sepak Takraw is the national sport of Malaysia and has gained international recognition over the years.
CM Honours Bihar’s Medal-Winning Athletes from the 38th National Games
During the event, CM Nitish Kumar also felicitated Bihar’s medal-winning athletes who excelled at the 38th National Games, held in Uttarakhand from January 28 to February 14, 2025. Bihar athletes delivered an impressive performance, securing a total of 12 medals, including:
- 1 Gold Medal (Lawn Bowls)
- 6 Silver Medals (Archery, Wushu, Fencing, Lawn Bowls, Yoga, and Rugby)
- 5 Bronze Medals (Wushu, Lawn Bowls, Fencing, and Modern Pentathlon)
This achievement marks a significant milestone in Bihar’s sports history, highlighting the state’s growing excellence in various sporting disciplines.
Short Film Presentation on Sepak Takraw and Khelo India
As part of the event, a short film based on Sepak Takraw and Khelo India Youth Games was screened, highlighting the importance of sports development and Bihar’s rising stature in the national and international sports arena.

As a mark of appreciation, Dr. B. Rajender presented a green plant to the Chief Minister, while Yogendra Singh Dahiya gifted a commemorative emblem on behalf of the Indian Sepak Takraw Federation.
