DGP Alok Raj Inaugurates Bihar Police Exhibition at Sonepur Fair 2024

Sonepur, Bihar—Director General of Police (DGP), Bihar, Mr. Alok Raj, formally inaugurated the Bihar Police Exhibition at the Sonepur Fair (Harihar Kshetra) 2024. The ceremony was graced by several senior officers, including DGP of Bihar Special Armed Police, Mr. A.K. Ambedkar, and Director General (Headquarters), Mr. Jitendra Singh Gangwar, along with Additional Directors General (ADGs) and other distinguished officials.

ADG of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Mr. Paras Nath, welcomed DGP Alok Raj with a symbolic plant sapling, emphasizing Bihar Police’s commitment to environmental consciousness.

The event witnessed the release of the Bihar Police Documentary 2024, offering insights into the police force’s achievements, operations, and community-oriented initiatives. Alongside, a booklet showcasing Bihar Police’s latest activities and innovations was also unveiled.

  • Fingerprint and State Photography Bureaus: Demonstrating innovative crime detection techniques.

The Weaker Sections Crime Investigation Department (WSCID) ran a dedicated stall focusing on issues like women’s safety, child marriage, dowry practices, and human trafficking. Booklets on these topics were distributed to spread awareness among visitors. The stall also highlighted the work of Women Help Desks, Counseling Centers, and Special Juvenile Police Units.
