Bihar Police, under the ongoing Operation Muskaan, is successfully recovering stolen and lost mobile phones across the state, restoring smiles to their rightful owners. The latest success story comes from Bhojpur district, where dozens of people have been reunited with their lost or stolen mobile phones.
Led by Superintendent of Police (SP) Bhojpur, a special team, including the District Investigation Unit (DIU), was formed to address complaints related to missing or stolen mobile phones. Through scientific investigation and tireless efforts, the team has been actively recovering devices and arresting those involved in such crimes.
On October 6, 2024, the police recovered a total of 75 mobile phones, valued at over INR 15 lakh, and returned them to their rightful owners. This initiative has brought relief and joy to many who had lost hope of retrieving their valuable devices. The police also took swift action by arresting individuals involved in mobile theft and those found in possession of stolen phones, ensuring they were sent to judicial custody.
The Operation Muskaan drive covered various police station areas across Bhojpur district, including Piro, Sikarhatta, Tarari, Agiaon Bazar, Charpokhari, Sandesh, and others. Below is the list of police stations and the number of mobile phones recovered:
