Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi Criticizes Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav Over Constitution Awareness
Patna: Union Minister and leader of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), Jitan Ram Manjhi, launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, questioning their understanding of the Constitution and its significance.
Speaking to the media at Patna Airport, Manjhi commented on Rahul Gandhi’s recent Constitution Conference held in Patna. He remarked, “Neither Rahul Gandhi nor Tejashwi Yadav has any understanding of what protecting the Constitution truly means. They lack awareness of the importance and essence of the Constitution.”
Manjhi further criticized their statements on constitutional issues, emphasizing that the celebration of Constitution Day was an initiative started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “It was Narendra Modi who initiated Constitution Day celebrations, not anyone else. In such a context, these leaders have no right to speak on the matter,” he added.
His remarks come amidst growing political discourse around the safeguarding of democratic values and constitutional principles. The Constitution Conference organized by Rahul Gandhi aimed to highlight issues related to constitutional rights and governance, drawing participation from several opposition leaders. However, Manjhi’s critique underscores a significant divide in political narratives surrounding such initiatives.
Manjhi’s statement also reflects the ongoing friction between opposition parties and the ruling alliance, particularly on matters related to governance and democratic accountability. His comments are expected to further fuel the debate on the role of political leaders in upholding constitutional values.
The Union Minister’s pointed remarks highlight the need for informed discussions on constitutional matters and the responsibilities of leaders in promoting awareness among citizens. As the political landscape continues to evolve, such statements are likely to intensify the dialogue around governance and the preservation of India’s democratic framework.
