Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and reverence in the grand Veronica Auditorium, based on the theme “From Guru’s Feet to
Google Meet: A Journey of Gratitude.
”
The programme commenced with the garlanding of the portrait of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan by Dr. Sr. M. Rashmi
A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College and Dr. Sr. Jincy A.C., Superior, Avila convent.
It was followed by a soulful prayer dance ‘Hey Vidhaata Tu’
, expressing deep gratitude to teachers, followed by a
heartfelt gratitude song presented by the Student Sisters that filled the auditorium with warmth and appreciation.
Adding a touch of fun, a game titled Match the Bottles was organised, in which teachers enthusiastically participated,
and winners were chosen through chit selection. The celebration continued with a melodious performance by the college
choir, Melody of Appreciation, evoking joy and admiration.
A moving poetry recitation, Echoes of Gratitude, by Pratibha from the English Department, left the audience
spellbound.
The Student Council then presented a vibrant dance performance, Hooks of the Decade, creating an energetic
atmosphere. This was followed by a thematic dance, The Fun They Had, symbolising the timeless efforts and dedication
of teachers.
The highlight of the event was an inspiring address by Dr. Sr. M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, who
lauded the efforts of students, faculty, and organisers for making the celebration a resounding success.
As a grand finale, the teachers walked the ramp in the segment Shades of India, showcasing elegance and spirit, and
received an overwhelming response from the audience.
The event was meticulously coordinated by the Cultural Coordinators—Dr. Sr. Celine Crasta A.C. (Head, Department
of History), Ms. Enakshi Dey Biswas (Coordinator, Performing Arts), Ms. Puja Kumari (Assistant Professor,
Department of Commerce), and Ms. Kriti.
The programme was hosted by Ms. Khushi Raj and Ms. Rajshree (Political Science), while the Vote of Thanks was
delivered by Ms. Megha Kumari, Joint Environment and Discipline Secretary, Student Council 2025–26.
The celebration not only honoured the teachers but also reflected the college’s enduring culture of gratitude, respect, and
joy.
