Patna, February 28, 2025: On the occasion of the 62nd death anniversary of India’s first President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, tributes were paid across the country. On this occasion, the Prime Minister expressed his reverence in emotional words, remembering his personality and contributions.
In Patna, a tribute ceremony was organized at his memorial site (Kalyan Bagh) located at the historic Gandhi Maidan. Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar paid floral tributes to him.
On this occasion, India’s President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi also offered their respects. The District Magistrate of Patna and other administrative officials also paid homage at the memorial site.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Water Resources Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha, Transport Minister Sheela Kumari, former Advocate General Arvind Kumar, and several other dignitaries recalled Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s contributions and paid their respects.
During the tribute ceremony, Bihar Police personnel presented a guard of honor, and a two-minute silence was observed to pay homage. On this occasion, attendees pledged to follow Dr. Rajendra Prasad’s principles and imbibe the values he stood for
