Bihar to Host 'Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025' – A Statewide Sports Quiz Competition

Patna, March 8, 2025: Bihar is set to host the first-ever statewide sports quiz competition, titled ‘Mukhyamantri Khel Gyanotsav 2025’, aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge of sports and fostering their interest in athletics. The Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA) has announced this unique initiative in collaboration with Extra-C, a reputed non-profit organization dedicated to promoting extracurricular activities.

The Director General and CEO of Bihar State Sports Authority, Ravindran Shankaran, shared that the competition is part of the government’s continuous efforts to promote sports culture and provide students with a platform to expand their knowledge of sports history, rules, achievements, and interesting facts.

Eligibility and Participation

The competition is open to students from Classes 6 to 12 studying in government and private schools across Bihar. Schools can register their teams online through the BSSA’s official website: https://bssa.crypticsingh.com. Each team should consist of two students from the same school. Registration is free, and the last date for registration is March 10, 2025.

Competition Format

The competition will be conducted in three phases:

District-Level Round (Online)
- The district-level quiz will feature four online quiz rounds hosted on the BSSA’s official website.
- Participants will earn points based on correct answers and response speed.
- The top three teams from each district will qualify for the divisional round.
Divisional-Level Round (Offline)
- Offline quiz rounds will be held in the headquarters of Bihar’s nine divisions.
- The top three teams from each district will compete at this level.
- Following a preliminary written exam, the top six teams will participate in an on-stage quiz competition.
- The top three teams from each division will advance to the state finals.
State-Level Final Round (Patna)
- The final round will be conducted on April 14, 2025, at Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna.
- It will include a written test followed by an exciting on-stage quiz round.
- The top three winning teams will be awarded prizes and recognized for their achievements.

Event Schedule

Online Round: March 15 to March 23, 2025
Divisional-Level Round: March 28 to April 13, 2025
State-Level Final Round: April 14, 2025
