Patna Women’s College Alumnae Association Hosts Annual Meet 2024

Patna, December 21, 2024: The Patna Women’s College Alumnae Association (PWCAA) hosted its much-anticipated Annual Meet 2024, bringing together alumnae, students, and esteemed guests to celebrate cherished memories, remarkable achievements, and the enduring bond shared by the college community. Held at the college’s open-air stage hall, the event was a vibrant tribute to the institution’s legacy of excellence and empowerment.

The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing enlightenment and knowledge nurtured at Patna Women’s College. The Chairperson of PWCAA and Principal of the College, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., welcomed the gathering with an inspiring address. She highlighted the college’s achievements and underscored the pivotal role alumnae play in shaping its legacy.

Adding a harmonious note to the celebration, the teachers performed a soulful group song, setting the tone for the evening. The Vice Chairperson of PWCAA, Dr. Ameeta Jaiswal, followed with an overview of the association’s contributions and a vision for its future endeavors, inspiring the audience with her words.

A highlight of the event was the felicitation of distinguished alumnae, recognizing their outstanding contributions in various fields. Justice Anjana Mishra, one of the honorees, delivered an insightful address on the importance of resilience and justice in today’s society. She also fondly reminisced about her college days, evoking nostalgia among the audience.

Similarly, Ms. Sweta Singh, a renowned news anchor and Executive Editor at Aaj Tak, captivated the audience with her words on the transformative power of media. She credited her time at Patna Women’s College as instrumental in shaping her career.

The evening also saw the much-awaited release of Melak – 3rd Edition, the alumnae magazine that chronicles the achievements and memories of the PWCAA community. This moment marked another milestone in celebrating the association’s vibrant spirit.

A fun-filled game session brought laughter and camaraderie, while the Student Council Dance showcased the energy and enthusiasm of the current students. A mesmerizing thematic dance and grand finale performance highlighted the creativity and talent of both students and alumnae, leaving the audience spellbound.

As the event drew to a close, Dr. Shefali, Secretary of PWCAA, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the organizers, participants, and attendees for making the Annual Meet 2024 a grand success.
