Patna, January 7 – Purnia MP Pappu Yadav today met Governor Arif Mohammad Khan at Raj Bhavan, demanding the cancellation and re-examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission’s (BPSC) 70th Preliminary Test (PT) due to alleged irregularities. He also called for a thorough investigation into the reported lapses.
The MP submitted a memorandum to the Governor, highlighting severe irregularities, lack of transparency, and administrative failures in the conduct of the 70th PT exam. According to Yadav, such incidents have deeply compromised the credibility of the examination process. The Governor assured him that an investigation into the recurring issue of paper leaks in previous BPSC exams would be initiated.
Accompanying Pappu Yadav during the meeting were Premchand Singh, Rajesh Pappu, Raghvendra Kushwaha, and Faizan Ahmed.
Speaking to the media outside Raj Bhavan, Pappu Yadav criticized political strategist Prashant Kishor, calling him a “Shikhandi” (a term used to describe someone who manipulates from behind the scenes). Yadav dismissed Kishor’s suggestion that Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav lead the students’ protest, labeling it a move to exploit the students’ agitation for political gains.
The MP also condemned the Bihar Police for their three instances of lathi charge on peacefully protesting students during the Satyagraha. He described the incident as an attack on both the students’ rights and their legitimate demands for justice.
Pappu Yadav urged leaders of the Grand Alliance (Mahagathbandhan) to join the statewide Bihar Bandh on January 12 to support the students and demand accountability from the authorities.
