Anamika Sharma”s skydiving to invite the world to attend the grand Mahakumbh

Bihar’s Anamika Sharma has added another feather to her cap with a remarkable achievement. On Sunday, she carried the Mahakumbh flag and leaped from a height of 13,000 feet in Bangkok, inviting the world to attend the grand Mahakumbh while spreading the message of “Divya Kumbh, Bhavya Kumbh.”

Born in Kanouli village of Makhdumpur block, Jehanabad district, Anamika completed her early education at Kendriya Vidyalaya and Sanskar International School. Her journey in skydiving has made her one of the youngest skydivers globally. With over 300 skydives to her name, Anamika exemplifies courage and extraordinary skill.

In 2024, she created a world record during the consecration ceremony of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Additionally, she achieved records in 2023 with a wingsuit radio jump and in 2022 with a wingsuit swing jump. At the age of 20, Anamika became the youngest Indian to earn a C-category skydiving license from the United States Parachute Association (USPA), solidifying her status as a trailblazer in the field.

Her latest feat involved jumping alongside a wingsuit pilot from 13,000 feet, flying over them at 6,000 feet, and deploying her parachute at 4,000 feet for a successful landing. This challenging radio skydiving jump showcases her technical expertise and daring spirit, marking it as one of the most complex maneuvers performed by an Indian woman skydiver.
