Patna Women’s College Alumni Association organised the Annual Alumni Meet on December 21 st , 2023 (Thursday) at Mother Veronica Auditorium of the college. The program started by the lighting of the lamp by the Principal, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. with special guest Ms. Manjushree Dayanand, Dr. Sharda Sinha,
Dr. Asha Singh, Dr. Muniba Sami, Dr. Kumudni Sinha and Dr. Vinita Kochgaway. It was followed by welcome speech by the Chairperson of the PWC Alumni Association (PWCAA) Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. Sister Rashmi welcomed the guests overwhelmingly and said that Patna Women’s College lives in the heart of every alumnus and they symbolise the pride of Patna Women’s College. A group of student sisters sang a
carol to begin the evening. The program was followed by the presentation by the Vice Chairperson of the
PWCAA, Dr. Ameeta Jaiswal in which she highlighted the achievements of the Alumni Association and
requested more alumni to contribute to the welfare of their alma mater and register themselves.
She addedthat any institution’s alumni are the key to its name, fame and growth. She said that the alumni of Patna Women’s College have adorned various administrative, judicial, medical and financial and other posts. The Alumni Association pledged to undertake more programmes for outreach community services, online and
career advancement courses and fund raising for establishing alumni endowment fund. The presentation by the vice chairperson highlighted the extension services conducted by the alumni and informed about the
Jamshedpur, Delhi and Mumbai chapters of PWCAA. Thereafter Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C. felicitated the esteemed guests by giving shawls, sapling and memento.
The gala evening continued with a number of colourful performances by the teachers and students of the
college. It included a sufi dance performance, a choir performance by the teachers, a contemporary dance performance and the grand finale on which the audience danced along with them. The second edition of the college newsletter Melak was also released on this occasion. The program was
compered by Dr. Zareen Fatima and Yosha Sinha. The audience also enjoyed games organised by Dr. Manjula Sushila and thereafter alumni shared their experiences and remembered the corridors of their
college days. At the occasion vice principal of the college Dr. Sister M. Tanisha A.C., former principal Dr.
Sister Liceria A.C. were also present. The program was attended by more than 300 alumni. The progamme
ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Shefali Roy.
