“A Nation Becomes Great Through the Clean Habits of Its Citizens.”
Under the cleanliness awareness campaign organized by the Patna Municipal Corporation’s sanitation awareness
team, a cultural program-based cleanliness survey campaign was conducted at Patna Women’s College. Patna
Municipal Corporation’s brand ambassador, Dr. Neetu Kumari Navgeet, spread the message of cleanliness
through folk songs and urged all college students to actively participate in the cleanliness survey to improve
Patna’s ranking.
The event was inaugurated by Alok John, Dean of National and International Collaboration at Patna Women’s
College, Dr. Sumeet Ranjan, Secretary of the Eco Task Force and Assistant Professor, Deptt of Zoology, Sister
Luvina A.C., Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, and folk singer Rajesh Keshari.
During the event, speakers emphasized that maintaining cleanliness is not just limited to one’s residential
premises but also extends to colleges and the entire city. They highlighted the importance of not littering and
mentioned that the Patna Municipal Corporation has deployed teams for door-to-door garbage collection.
Citizens should segregate wet and dry waste for proper processing.
Folk singer Neetu Navgeet encouraged everyone to fulfill their duty to keep Patna clean, stating that when every
city and village remains clean, the entire nation will shine. She reinforced the idea that a nation’s greatness lies in
the clean habits of its citizens.
The awareness program featured vibrant musical performances. All students showcased their commitment to
cleanliness by singing cleanliness-themed songs. Singer Rajesh Keshari accompanied on the harmonium,
Vishwanath Pandey played the nal (a percussion instrument), and Chandan Ugna played the khanjari to support
Neetu Navgeet’s performance.
Additionally, all college students scanned a QR code on their mobile phones to participate in the Swachh
Survekshan 2024 survey
