Patna, May 15, 2026 — Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday felicitated Indian cricketer Ishan Kishan for his outstanding contribution to India’s victory in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.
During a special ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat in Patna, the Chief Minister presented Kishan with a cheque of ₹1 crore, a memento, and a traditional angvastram as a mark of honour and appreciation.

Congratulating the Bihar-born cricketer, the Chief Minister said that Ishan Kishan played a significant role in India’s successful campaign in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 and brought immense pride to Bihar through his remarkable performance.
“You are an inspiration for the youth and children of Bihar. I wish you continued success and hope you create many more milestones for the Indian cricket team while bringing glory to the nation,” the Chief Minister said.

Several senior officials and dignitaries were present during the felicitation ceremony, including Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, Additional Chief Secretary of the Sports Department Dr. B. Rajender, Special Duty Officer Dr. Gopal Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjay Kumar Singh, and Director General of the Bihar State Sports Authority Ravindran Shankaran.
Family members of Ishan Kishan were also present on the occasion.
