Bihar DGP RS Bhatti Delivered a Lecture on Security Issues at National Defense College, New Delhi

The Director General of Bihar Police, RS Bhatti, delivered a significant lecture at the National Defense College (NDC) in New Delhi on July 26. In his lecture, he shared his thoughts on an important topic related to national security, discussing various aspects of global security. This event was attended by 120 senior officials from India and friendly countries, including Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Maldives, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uganda, the UK, the USA, and Zambia.

Brief Description of the National Defense College (NDC): The National Defense College, New Delhi, was established in 1959 and is Asia’s first institute that provides training on higher defense and strategic aspects of warfare to senior service and civil service officers. The objective of this college is to provide senior officials with a broad perspective on various issues related to national security and prepare them for responsibilities in higher management and policy matters. This college operates under the Ministry of Defense, Government of India, and its primary role is to promote understanding and cooperation in national, regional, and international security sectors.

The course at NDC is 47 weeks long and is conducted in six phases. These phases are: Understanding India and the Strategy Initiation, Economic Security, International Security Environment, Global Issues, India’s Strategic Neighborhood, and National Security Strategies and Structures. The purpose of this prestigious course is to bring together officials from various countries on one platform, providing them the opportunity to listen to and share expert opinions on various national and international issues. During this program, participants also get the chance to interact with ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, and key thinkers, enabling them to develop a comprehensive perspective on issues related to national and international security.
