Patna, 20 November 2024: A statewide intensive vehicle checking campaign was conducted across Bihar on the night of 19 November 2024, from 9 PM to 11 PM. The operation, directed by the Bihar Police Headquarters and led by Superintendents of Police and senior officers, inspected approximately 2.66 lakh vehicles, resulting in significant fines and arrests.

During the campaign, 128 vehicles were seized, fines totaling ₹49.53 lakh were collected, and 541 individuals were arrested for various offenses. The campaign aimed to enhance law and order and curb illegal activities across the state.

  4. Motihari: ₹3,85,000
  5. West Champaran (Bettiah): ₹3,63,000

The campaign also led to the recovery of firearms, ammunition, a large quantity of illicit liquor, and substantial cash, underlining the drive’s success in cracking down on illegal activities.

The Bihar Police emphasized that such operations would continue to ensure public safety and law enforcement across the state.
