Christmas Carol Singing Competition 2025 Held at Patna Women’s College

Patna, December 17, 2025:
In celebration of Christmas 2025, Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) organized a lively Christmas Carol Singing Competition at the Open-Air Stage Hall of the college campus. The event, conducted in both Hindi and English, showcased students’ musical talent while spreading the festive joy of Christmas.

The jury panel included Father Josey Mathias S.J., Director, Prabhat Prakashan, Patna; Bernard Rajratnam S.J., Assistant Treasurer, Patna Jesuit Society; and Sister M. Malar A.C., Vice Principal, Mount Carmel High School. The jury members were formally welcomed with saplings by Dr. Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Head, Department of History and Cultural Coordinator.

A total of 10 teams competed in the Hindi Carol category, performing carols themed around hope, light, and the birth of Christ. The English category saw participation from 8 teams, who performed popular Christmas carols such as “Mary’s Boy Child,” “Born to Bring Us,” and “Emmanuel.”

Father Josey Mathias S.J. lauded the students for their spirited performances and offered constructive feedback on vocal techniques. The results were announced by Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, who highlighted that the true essence of Christmas lies in togetherness and joyful participation.

The event was anchored by Raj Shree and Lovely Kumari, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Harshita, Joint General Secretary, Student Council 2025–26. The Christmas Carol Singing Competition at Patna Women’s College stood as a meaningful celebration of faith, culture, and festive harmony.
