Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) organized a prestigious event on April 6, 2024, at the Mother Veronica Auditorium, where it conferred degrees upon undergraduate and postgraduate students after receiving accreditation for autonomy by the UGC. This ceremony marked the culmination of the academic journey for 2461 students from sessions 2019–22 and 2020–23, who were awarded their degree certificates.
Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., the Principal of Patna Women’s College, addressed the gathering, highlighting the institution’s remarkable achievements. She emphasized the college’s recent attainment of the highest grade in NAAC Accreditation, recognizing its commitment to academic excellence, digital transformation, and holistic education to empower young learners. Dr. Rashmi also praised the college’s consistent advancement in teaching methodologies and curriculum innovation.
The distinguished chief guest of the convocation, Prof. Faizaan Mustafa, the Chancellor of the National Law University, captivated the audience with his inspiring speech, encouraging the young female students of Patna Women’s College. He expressed admiration for the institution’s enduring legacy and assured that its flag would continue to fly high. He asserted that Patna Women’s College is a pride of Bihar’s higher education sector, deserving even higher accolades than its current A-grade NAAC accreditation.
The convocation was presided over by the esteemed President of Patna University, Prof. K.C. Sinha. In his address, he commended the college for meticulously organizing the event and hailed it as a symbol of Bihar’s glory in the academic realm.
Among the dignitaries present were Prof. Khagendra Kumar, Registrar of Patna University; Prof. Amita Jaiswal, Dean of Arts and Humanities; Dr. Aparajita Krishna, Dean of Science; Dr. Sufiya Fatima, Dean of Commerce and Management; Dr. Sister M. Saroj A.C., Dean of Education; Dr. Shobha Shrivastav, Secretary of Academic Council; and representatives from various departments and academic councils.
Dr. Amrita Chaudhary, the Coordinator of IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) at Patna Women’s College, expressed gratitude on behalf of the institution for the successful convocation.
