Patna: On Monday, following a lathi charge incident on BPSC aspirants late Sunday evening, Purnea MP Pappu Yadav met Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at Raj Bhavan and submitted a six-point memorandum in support of the students.
After the meeting, speaking to the media, Pappu Yadav said that discussions were held regarding the lathi charge on students. The Governor summoned the DM and SP and also spoke with the BPSC Chairman in his presence. An assurance was given to investigate and take action. Furthermore, the Governor assured that he would discuss the matter with the Chief Minister.
Referring to Prashant Kishor, Pappu Yadav called him a “Fraud Kishor.” He said that Kishor, leader of the so-called Jan Suraaj Party, was in reality leading a “Wealth Swaraj Party.” Pappu accused him of acting like a goon and claimed that students would never forgive him and that he must leave Bihar. He alleged that Kishor misbehaved with students alongside goons, citing a viral video as evidence, and labeled him a “freelance leader.”
Pappu Yadav further accused PK of orchestrating attacks on students and selling out the movement. He stated that PK does not understand the strength of students and warned him of repercussions. He said, “The world bows before students.”
The MP also mentioned the demand for establishing a High Court bench in Purnea district. He said the Governor assured him of action on this issue. He appealed to the Governor to consider the establishment of a second bench of the Patna High Court in Purnea to ensure swift justice for the common people of Bihar.
Currently, BPSC aspirants are on an indefinite strike with their primary demand being the complete cancellation of the examination and its re-conduction in a fair and transparent manner. The memorandum submitted to the Governor requests:
