On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Bihar Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar visited Gandhi Maidan today to meet Imam Eidain Hazrat Maulana Mahsood Ahmad Qadri Nadvi. The Chief Minister exchanged greetings with the Imam through a handshake and conveyed his best wishes for Eid. In response, Hazrat Maulana Mahsood Ahmad Qadri Nadvi also extended his Eid greetings to the Chief Minister and prayed for the peace, prosperity, progress, and development of Bihar.
Earlier, the President of the Eidain Committee, Shri Mahmood Alam, welcomed Chief Minister Nitish Kumar by presenting him with a bouquet and a traditional ‘safa’ (turban) as a mark of honor. The Chief Minister extended his heartfelt Eid greetings and best wishes to all worshippers, Muslim brothers and sisters, and the people of Bihar and the nation.
The event was attended by Rural Works Minister Shri Ashok Choudhary, Chairman of the Bihar State Sunni Waqf Board, Md. Irshadullah, Patna Divisional Commissioner Shri Mayank Barbed, District Magistrate of Patna Shri Chandrashekhar Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, Shri Avkash Kumar, and several other dignitaries.
