Patna Municipal Corporation Equips All 75 Wards with Handheld Fogging Machines

In a significant move to enhance urban sanitation and combat mosquito-borne diseases, the Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has distributed handheld fogging machines to all 75 wards. The distribution followed a comprehensive training session for sanitation inspectors at the Adalatganj Talab premises. These portable devices are specifically designed to operate efficiently in narrow lanes, ensuring thorough fogging across the city.

As part of its commitment to community engagement, PMC personnel will conduct door-to-door visits to perform fogging and gather feedback from residents. Equipped with QR code-enabled ID cards issued by the headquarters, staff members will encourage citizens to share their insights on the city’s cleanliness efforts. This initiative aligns with the Swachh Survekshan 2024, a national cleanliness survey that emphasizes citizen feedback. Residents can provide their input through various channels, including mobile apps and phone calls. To facilitate this process, QR codes have been distributed, enabling easy access to the feedback platform.
Daily Outreach Goals Set for Staff
To maximize the impact of this campaign, each PMC staff member has been assigned a daily target of visiting 50 households. During these visits, they will conduct fogging operations and motivate residents to participate in the feedback process. The Swachh Survekshan 2024’s citizen feedback campaign features a set of ten questions designed to gauge public opinion on municipal services and cleanliness initiatives. By actively involving the community, PMC aims to foster a collaborative approach to urban sanitation and improve Patna’s ranking in the national survey.
