Patna, July 17, 2025 – In a major breakthrough in the sensational Chandan Mishra murder case, the Patna Police has successfully identified all five shooters involved in the daring shootout at Paras Hospital. Leading the deadly operation was Tausif alias ‘Badshah’, a notorious name in the world of contract killings and gang violence.

According to CCTV footage, Tausif was spotted wearing blue jeans and a white printed shirt, standing at the front during the execution of the murder. He was not wearing any cap or mask, making him easily identifiable.

Tausif is an alumnus of St. Karen’s School, Patna, and currently resides in the Phulwari Sharif area, where he is involved in real estate dealings. Locally known as ‘Badshah’, he is reportedly associated with organized supari (contract) killing gangs.

Sources in the police confirm that Tausif is already an accused under the Arms Act and has been actively engaged in contract killings in recent months.

🔫 Identity of Other Shooters

Apart from Tausif, four other shooters have also been identified. Although their names have not been made public yet, police sources confirm that all of them belong to the Phulwari Sharif area.

Raids and searches are being conducted in multiple locations. Patna Police and Bihar STF (Special Task Force) have launched a joint operation, including searches at Tausif’s residence and other suspected hideouts.

🏥 Timeline of the Shootout at Paras Hospital

On Tuesday morning between 7:00–7:30 AM, the assailants entered Paras Hospital in Patna without resistance and went straight to Ward No. 209, where Chandan Mishra, a known gangster, was undergoing treatment under police custody.

The entire shootout lasted just 30 seconds. The attackers drew their pistols from their waists, fired multiple rounds at point-blank range, and escaped swiftly without being confronted by hospital security.

At least 12 bullet casings were recovered from the scene, and CCTV footage has provided clear visuals of all assailants. Investigators are probing possible internal involvement from hospital staff.

⚖️ Background: Who Was Chandan Mishra?

Chandan Mishra was a notorious gangster from Buxar, serving a life sentence for multiple crimes including the high-profile Rajendra Kesari murder case. He was admitted to Paras Hospital on parole for medical reasons.

Preliminary investigations suggest the shootout was the result of an ongoing gang rivalry with the Sheru gang, hinting at a larger power struggle in Patna’s criminal underworld.

Police strongly suspect the murder to be a supari killing (contract killing) orchestrated by rival factions, with Tausif and his gang hired for the job.

SSP Kartikeya Sharma (Patna) has stated that the investigation is progressing swiftly and all culprits will be arrested soon. The entire Phulwari Sharif area is under alert, with focused operations including questioning of local suspects, mobile location tracing, and surveillance footage analysis.
