Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), under Patna University, successfully organized its much-awaited Alumnae Meet 2025 on Saturday evening at the college campus, bringing together alumnae, faculty members, and students in a vibrant celebration of memories, achievements, and lifelong bonds.

The programme commenced at 4:30 p.m. with the ceremonial Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and continuity. The Chairperson, Dr. Sister M. Rashmi A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College, warmly welcomed the alumnae and emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong and enduring connection between the institution and its graduates.
A soulful Teachers’ Group Song set a nostalgic tone for the evening, reflecting the deep-rooted bond between faculty members and former students. This was followed by an insightful presentation by Dr. Ameeta Jaiswal, Vice Chairperson and Head, PG Department of Philosophy, Patna University, who highlighted the growth, milestones, and future vision of the Alumnae Association.


The event also featured the felicitation of distinguished alumnae, recognizing their remarkable contributions across diverse professional and social fields, bringing pride to Patna Women’s College and the city of Patna.

The cultural segment added energy and vibrancy to the celebration. Students presented a melodious English Carol, followed by a graceful Student Council Dance that showcased unity, creativity, and the dynamic spirit of the institution. A key highlight of the evening was the release of “Melak”, the annual Alumnae Magazine, celebrating the journeys, voices, and achievements of the college’s alumni.

The audience was captivated by a soulful solo singing performance by Ms. Puja Upadhayay, alumna of the Department of History, whose rendition added a melodious charm to the programme. Fun-filled activities like Game of Finding the Star and Musical Chairs further strengthened interaction and camaraderie among the alumnae.
One of the most inspiring moments of the evening was the experience-sharing session by Ms. Shashi Uban Tripathi, Indian High Commissioner to Canada, who shared valuable insights on leadership, perseverance, and global service, leaving a lasting impression on all present.


The celebrations continued with a lively Teachers’ Group Dance, reflecting the enthusiasm and togetherness of the faculty, and concluded with a spectacular Grand Finale, symbolizing unity, joy, and celebration.
The programme was smoothly moderated by Ms. Yosha Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Advertising and Marketing Management, and Dr. Zareen Fatima, Head, Department of Economics, Patna Women’s College. The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Yosha Singh, acknowledging the contributions of dignitaries, alumnae, organizers, and participants.
