“Pranam Purnia, Salaam Purnia” campaign: Pappu Yadav won Purnia Lok Sabha seat

Pappu Yadav, who contested as an independent candidate from the Purnia Lok Sabha seat, has finally secured a victory. He won by a margin of over 90,000 votes. Following his win, there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm among his supporters. Meanwhile, people are congratulating each other on social media.

In fact, the 2024 Lok Sabha elections saw one of the most interesting contests in the Purnia Lok Sabha constituency. Pappu Yadav merged his party with the Congress to contest from Purnia, but the very next day, the RJD gave its symbol to JDU MLA Bima Bharti. This led to continuous disputes between the Congress and the RJD over the seat. Ultimately, the seat went to the RJD, and Pappu Yadav decided to contest as an independent candidate.

It is worth noting that from the beginning, Pappu Yadav seemed to have an edge. He had been preparing to contest from Purnia for a long time. He also conducted the “Pranam Purnia, Salaam Purnia” campaign. Even after merging his party with the Congress, he did not receive a ticket and eventually ran as an independent candidate.
