Patna, February 26, 2025 – The annual three-day event of NIFT Patna, ‘Spectrum’ and ‘Craft Bazaar,’ commenced with great enthusiasm and energy. This event aims not only to promote fashion and handicrafts but also to provide a platform for students and artisans to showcase their talents. The first day began with the inauguration of the Craft Bazaar by Honorable Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh from the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The event featured over 30 artisans from across the country, displaying their incredible craftsmanship and celebrating India’s rich tradition of handicrafts. Additionally, NIFT Patna students showcased their unique designs and crafts, demonstrating their creativity and innovation.
The inauguration ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a Saraswati Vandana, filling the atmosphere with a spiritual energy. NIFT Patna Director, Colonel Rahul Sharma, honored Chief Guest Shri Giriraj Singh and highlighted the institute’s achievements while encouraging all participants. In his address, Shri Giriraj Singh praised the outstanding talents of artisans and students, extending his best wishes for the event. One of the key highlights of the day was the ‘Heritage Walk,’ dedicated to showcasing and honoring traditional craftsmanship. Additionally, various competitions were organized, allowing students to exhibit their creative skills.
